Adding a new machine is done easiest by copying the text from a similar machine.
Be sure to cover the following though:
- what the machine does and especially what it is not designed to do.
- Link the the manual.
- what sort of material it can best handle - and what sort of material may damage it.
- a picture
- where it is located
- A section on safety
- Containing the safety sheet Safety Sheet
- Repeat the key points; risks; how to mitigate; how to avoid.
- Practical checks.
- Section on operating
- Section on known issues/surprises
- Power off and cleaning instructions
- Out of order instructions
- Maintenance instructions
- Things about how it is installed, wired, etc if not trivial.
- Who owns it ?
- Replacing supplies ? Which ? Where ?
In general it is also a good idea to keep a 'setup' or 'build' page during; to document the project of getting the machine up and running; and perhaps use parts of this page as the basis for your maintenance page.
The Template for machine wiki page can be helpfull.
