Proxxon Dopsleutelset Metric
Dopsleutelset - Imperial
Dopsleutelset - Imperial

Owned by the space.

We have two sets; the Army green case contains metric ones; the blue box English/Imperial ones.

About the army green Proxxon 23040 - 56-Piece 1/4" and 1/2" Socket Set:

This 56-piece socket set from Proxxon is particularly versatile. The set includes ratchets and sockets ranging from 4 to 32 millimeters, as well as special versions. Examples of these are special spark plug sockets (in sizes 16 and 21 millimeters), screwdriver bits with a square drive, Torx screws, and angled hex keys. The latter come in sizes 1.25, 1.5, 2, 2.5, and 3 millimeters.

The driver sizes are probably 1/4" and 1/2"

See also the Steeksleutels Spanners Wrenches page and the Momentsleutel Torque Wrench page.

There is also a set Dopsleutel - moersleutel adapters / Impact Socket Adaptors for use with the DeWalt Impact drill/electric screwdriver.

Location

  1. Metric set - Army green box in the bottom of the red cart in the metal work shop
  2. Imperial set - blue small box in a drawer in the red cart in the metal work shop

Try not to mix the two!

History

Owned by the space. New set in June of 2023 for the metric, mid 2019 for imperial).

God save the queen! WARNING: Imperial tools have slightly different sizes than Metric ones.

Using the wrong one will often damage the bolt, nut or whatever you are working on. See this list for all the imperial tools we have.

Try not to mix them with our metric tools -- to make sure your fellow maker does not ruin their work.
Be especially careful with the close friends, such as sizes like 5/8inch and 16mm;
although the difference is 0.13mm - you will ruin (or usually just crack) a collet or similar..
