= Speed =

Keep the speed low (50% or less of normal speed).
A bout half of a normal HSS twist drill of that diameter.

= Breaking Drills =

If you break them - that is fine. Happens. 

In that case - either replace them -or- report it to the mailing list so someone else can replace them.

You can expense these.
