Setup
Setup for a simple VoIP experiment:
- Account with cheapconnect
- KYC authentication (for now via Dirk's company) to get a Leiden trunk number
- SPA112 configured with the trunk
- Password to Cisco SPA112 in the usual place
- POTS on port 1 - number: +31715690707, 071-5690707 of 5690707
- Mangement interface op http://192.168.6.201/
- Configure: 25 Hz, 90 volt, sinoid for ring signal (under Voice->Region)
Not yet working - pulse based dial out (and, for now, we're not working on that - as it also means costs/billing).
Getting the phone to work
Connect B and EB (Extra Bel) -- thanks to HansS for the hint !
Still to do
- Move SPA into patch/data enclosure
- Find place for phone
Find historic wall socket(20 cents at the neighbours)- Run two-pair phone cable from SPA to wall socket (or use exacting cat5 cabling)
- Find one of those ancient loud bells to mount on the workshop side
