General suppliers in and around Leiden

Hartwijk and de Action (Langegracht, naast de parkeergarage en Politieburea) are very near to the space (walking distance). The Action has wood glue, some tools/nails/stuff and paint.

Hartwijk usually has a small cart you can borrow if you need to move things like very large 2.5x1.2 meter plywood, etc.

Bonus point for the corner upstairs with smaller pieces (offcut from their projects, they build tables). Difficult to find longer clear-grain pieces. They have a huge planer/jointer, pretty sure they can surface timber of your choice. Super friendly people.

 Yes €-€€€€ ★★★★★ Wide selection of European and exotic woods. Indoors they have a range of planed woods in various sizes, outside they have a wider range of rough sawn timber. Lots of variety. Price varies depending on the wood species you go for. Poplar and Southern Yellow pine is very affordable, but some woods are up to 50K per m3.
Arnhemse Fijnjouthandel Arnhem Hardwood/Veneers Many, probably largest sortiment of the Netherlands Yes €, but €€€€ if you need a specific (large)size ★★★★★ They have smaller pieces at very low prices (and even tiny ones - e.g. something exotic for turning a pen) for hobbyists with an extremely good selection upstairs. Both in lathe-sides bits and smaller bits for furnuture. Good fineer selection too - even in very small quantities. Very knowledgable and friendly.
Black Walnut BV Numansdorp (south of Rotterdam) Hardwood Walnut, Cherry, Oak Yes €€€ ?? (from their website, they sell furniture-grade stuff) Specialized in walnut (european and american), so it is quite expensive (2000-5000€/m3, excl BTW)
