Silbergleit (dry lubricant)
Silbergleit is a dry lubricant and protector, designed for facilitating the gliding of wood pieces on the woodworking machines, while preventing rust. The fact that this is a dry lubricant means that dust will not gum up and leave almost no traces on your workpiece.
The application of Silbergleit is recommended in particular for (but not limited to) the cast iron tables of the following machines :
A well lubricated machine table makes for a safer operation : you don't need to push as hard your workpiece through the machine (particularly true for bigger workpieces).
Application
Use the microfibre cloth or any paper towel to rub the product on the cast iron tables of the machines. A little bit of product goes a long way.
The only drawback of this product is the smell as you will see, so it can be a good idea not to do all the machines at once (although the smell will go away quickly).
Location
The Silbergleit can is located in the cupboard with paint, varnish etc.
If it is near empty - either replace it or mail the list so it can get replaced.
