Big metal sawSmall metal saw

We have two sizes of metal saw. Also very usable for plastics, etc.

Location

Left of center toolboard for the big ones. Second drawer from the top in the metal toolcart for the small ones.

Pitches and spares

We have several pitches; for fine and rough/fast sawing.

Small metal saw

When selecting a pitch - try to have al least 5+ 'teeth' for whatever is the length of your cut.

Blunt blades

We keep spare blades. Big ones are left of the center toolboard; small ones with the small saws.

When replacing them - put the old blade in the old-tools-box (top shelf, corridor to toilets).

When nearly finished - either order a pack of 10+ new; or report on the mailing list. Replacements can be expensed - up to around 75cent/blades is perfectly normal.

Ownership and History

Owned by the space (bought mid 2012), Selection of blades added as standard stock (early 2022)
