Intro
We have a Japanese saw. It's an Augusta 240mm Ryoba pull saw.
Usage
Unlike western saws, Japanese saws cut on the pull stroke, not the push stroke. This allows for a thinner saw, and resulting thinner kerf. But care has to be taken not to buckle the saw.
Replacement blade
The blade on this saw is induction hardened and cannot be resharpened. The blade is simply replaced (do not bin the old one, give it to the people who use the Forge_/_Smeedoven it's good quality steel.
A new blade can be purchased from the manufacturer.
